Presenting a no fuss, healthy dish – Anchovies Fry.
Anchovies are small fish found in marine waters and are a power house of vitamins and minerals. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, anchovies are classified as super foods. They are usually sold in small packages.
Recipe Name : Anchovies Fry
Time : 15-20 mins
Ingredients: Mustard oil, cumin seeds, chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, chilli, coriander powder, packed Anchovies.
Procedure:
- Take a pan and put mustard oil. Mustard oil has a distinct aromatic quality about it which enhances the dish.
- Add cumin seeds once the oil is hot and saute it till you hear a crackling sound coming from it.
- Add chopped onions, saute it well till the onion gets translucent.
- Add ginger garlic paste, mix it well, and saute for 2-3 minutes.Add all the spices till it blends perfectly and saute it well for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add cut tomatoes and some salt as per taste.Tomato dissolves quite quickly so there is no need to cook for a longer time.
- As the final step, add the anchovies into the mixture and fry it well for 2-3 minutes.
Our Anchovies Fry is ready to be served. You can also add a pinch of lemon juice for more tanginess but that is optional.
