As the name suggests,this is a liquid dish made up of proteinous and healthy lentils.Super simple, tasty and can be easily made in a jiff.It can be consumed as either in solid form(with less water) or as soupy form.This is a wholesome meal in itself and will bring back warm memories of home 🙂
Ingredients:
Moong Dal : 1 Cup
Water : 2-3 Cups
Servings : 2-3 Persons
Turmeric Powder
Coriander Leaves : Finely Chopped
Onion : 1 nicely chopped
Tomato : 1 nicely chopped
Ginger & Garlic : Crushed or chopped to fine pieces
Ghee/Clarified Butter
Preparation Time : 15-20 Mins
Process:
- Put the moong dal, water, turmeric powder, a pinch of salt and little oil in a Pressure cooker. Wait for 2 -3 whistles. Cool off for sometime and then take the lid out after 10 mins.
- In another pan,put ghee (clarified butter),mustard,finely chopped or crushed ginger and garlic,onion,and tomato and saute it
- Put the contents of the pan in the cooker.
- Finally, put black pepper powder on the toppings
- Put finely chopped coriander leaves on top (optional)
Our Lentil Soup is ready to be served.
