Mahabaleshwar

Mahabaleshwar, the name itself reflects positivity. Mahabaleshwar will always have a special place in our heart as this marked our first ever trip with our precious 6 month baby with lots of excitement and overwhelming emotions involved.

This is our first time to Mahabaleshwar and we were completly awestruck and mesmerized by its beauty.Mother Nature is so so beautiful. It’s a small town and a municipal council in Maharashtra’s Satara district, in India. It  is located on the mountainous Sahyadri range of the Western Ghats, bounded by valleys on all sides. It has been termed as the summer capital of Bombay Presidency during the British period. It is about 122 km southwest of Pune and 285 km  from Mumbai.

Famous  for its strawberry. And also one can have home jellies, honey, jams.

Suitable Time to visit :December to February.

Days required to explore:  at least 3 days to cover the best scenic spots.

Speciality : scenic hill station, fantastic viewpoints, placid lakes, age-old temples, cascading waterfalls,Relaxing and serene environment.

Is it worth going – Its definitely worth visiting in summer because of its sunset points, delightful gardens(one of them is Mapro Garden), beautiful  lakes, historical sites, majestic waterfalls, thrilling adventure activities and pleasant weather.

Places to visit in Mahabaleshwar: There are some few and important places that one should not miss. They are Mahabaleshwar Temple, Elephants Point, Wilson Point,Venna Lake, Mapro Garden etc etc.
