Malaysia

I have always wanted to visit Malaysia and the time to visit Malaysia finally came in Aug 2019. It was a 5 days trip and we had the opportunity to visit the most happening destinations of Malaysia like Langkawi & Penang.

Langkawi

Langkawi is known for its beautiful beaches and lush tropical rain forests. It is a popular honeymoon destination in South East Asia.

Some iconic places in Langkawi are Eagle Square and Langkawi Sky bridge cable car. At Eagle Square, a huge eagle which is poised to take flight is shown. You can find many nearby restaurants and small shops where souvenirs, hats, umbrellas ,shirts and dresses can be easily found. It is situated so close to the sea ,one can watch the large ships crossing the harbor.

Langkawi sky bridge cable car is an aerial ride to the top of mount Mat Cincang, where one comes across beautiful views of greenery rain forests and waterfalls. We went on a boat ride to Kilim Geoforest park which is situated in an Island. Some other places which we visited were Dayang Bunting Lake, which is considered to be the second largest island in Malaysia and Seven wells waterfall, which is a popular hiking and swimming spot.

Places we visited in Langkawi : Dataran Lang (Eagle Square),Langkawi Cable Car,Langkawi Arts in Paradise 3D Museum,Kilim Geoforest Park,Seven Wells Waterfall,Dayang Bunting Lake.

Where did we stay:

Telaga Terrace Langkawi. One can find numerous restaurants nearby and various local shopping places.

Penang is often known for its colonial buildings and architectures. George Town and Penang hill are the top most attractions in Penang.

Penang hill is a good spot for hiking. The entire city can be viewed from this hill. It is a also a nice location where good photos can be taken. To reach there, you will have an unique experience of boarding a funicular cable car which operates in rail bar.Apart from that,we explored the street art which was a wonder in itself. It shows the creativity and the imagination of the artists. We were amazed to see Little India there, where we had our Indian cuisine with much delight. Penang 3D Trick museum is fun and good for kids.

Stayed in St Giles Wembley .Its an amazing hotel where you find the hustle bustle of the city and various spas nearby.
