Lotus Seeds (Makhana)

Lotus seed popularly known as Makhana or fox nuts is the source of protein, B vitamins and minerals.It is mostly found in dried ,round or oval shape & in shelled form.They are extremely healthy and nutritious, help in treating hormonal balance and also aid in weight loss. It helps to regulate and improve sleep patterns and was considered as a traditional medicine in ancient times.

Name : Tangy Flavored Lotus Seeds

Time Duration : 10 Minutes

Ingredients : Roasted Lotus Seeds, Roasted Cumin Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Dry Mango Powder, Chaat Masala , Honey, Rock Salt to taste.

Procedure :

In a pan, add 1 bowl of Lotus seeds,and roast them on a very low heat.Keep stirring in between for 10-15 minutes till they are roasted properly.

In a small bowl,mix all the condiments and honey properly.It will have a thick paste texture.Now in the pan,add the roasted lotus seeds and the mixture.Saute it well, till it forms a coating on the lotus seeds . Turn off the flame.Tangy Flavored lotus seed is ready.

Not only it looks awesome but tastes delicious.
