A Spring Escape to Helsinki – May 2025

In May 2025, we spent 3–4 beautiful days in Helsinki, and it turned out to be one of the most peaceful breaks we’ve had. Staying at the Radisson Blu Seaside Hotel gave us the perfect base to explore this calm yet vibrant Nordic capital.

Helsinki Cathedral & Senate Square

Seeing the iconic Helsinki Cathedral in person was breathtaking. Its grand white façade stood tall against the soft spring sky. Sitting on the steps at Senate Square, simply soaking in the view, felt surreal and peaceful at the same time.

Culture & Modern Design

We loved exploring the Helsinki City Museum, where the city’s story comes alive through creative and interactive displays.

A visit to Oodi Central Library was another highlight. More than just a library, it’s a stunning architectural space filled with warmth, light, and innovation. The wooden interiors and open views made it a place where you just want to sit and stay longer.

A Glimpse of Old Finland

Walking through Seurasaari Open-Air Museum felt like stepping back in time. Surrounded by greenery and traditional wooden houses, it gave us a quiet and beautiful glimpse into Finland’s rural heritage.

What Made Helsinki Special

What we loved most about Helsinki was its balance — modern yet historic, lively yet peaceful. The blooming flowers, sea breeze, clean streets, and long daylight hours made even the simplest moments feel special.

It was a short trip, but Helsinki left us refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of going back.
